Why "Celtic Chaos"?

Well, a few years ago I was taking a tap dancing class at the community college. Michael Flatley had just made a big hit with Lord of the Dance and we were all enamoured with Irish dancing. We had an in-studio recital coming up so we decided to do a pseudo-Irish dance routine. (Keep in mind that none of us knew a single thing about Irish dancing). We had 3 weeks to choreograph it and make it perfect. The choreography didn't take too long, but making it perfect did. We decided to do it accapella, so the tough part was getting everyone syncopated. (YOU try dancing without any music!)

Now we had to give our dancing number a title. That wasn't too hard, because early on we had dubbed our pathetic effort, "Celtic Chaos," and that's exactly what it was! But our audience loved it!

Since then, I have become totally engrossed in Irish culture and traditions and have also taken up Irish dancing!

So, I have named this page "Celtic Chaos" due to that personal memory and because this page will be filled with anything and everything Celtic that I take a notion to put up. Hopefully it won't be as big a mess as it's namesake, but hopefully you will enjoy it as much as the previous audience did.
